What TellKasi is

A free place to report problems in your area, follow what neighbours report, compare prices and find local shops. Some extra tools for builders and organisations are paid; their prices are on the pricing page.

What you agree to

• Post only what is true, and follow the community rules.
• Do not post anyone’s personal details, faces or number plates, and do not accuse private people.
• Do not spam, advertise, cheat the price or shop listings, or try to break the site.
• Keep your sign-in safe. You are responsible for what is posted from your account.
• Shop owners: only list a shop you run, and keep your prices and specials honest.

Your posts

You keep ownership of what you post. You allow TellKasi to show it, group it with similar reports, and share it (without your private details) with people who can fix the problem, such as councillors, municipalities and journalists. Moderators may hold, edit out personal details from, or remove posts that break the rules, and may block accounts that keep breaking them.

Information on TellKasi

Reports, prices and news come from the community and other sources. We check what we can, but we cannot promise everything is correct or up to date. Always check a price at the shop, and in an emergency call 10111 or 112, not TellKasi.

Paid tools and credits

Paid plans and credits are explained before you buy. Unused credits and refunds follow the rules on the pricing page and the Consumer Protection Act.

Our responsibility

We work to keep TellKasi running and safe, but it is offered as it is. As far as the law allows, we are not responsible for losses from relying on information posted by others. Nothing here takes away rights you have under South African law.

Ending your account

You can delete your account at any time on your Profile. We may suspend accounts that break these terms.

Privacy and the law

How we handle your information is in the privacy policy. These terms are governed by the law of South Africa.

Who is responsible

TellKasi is run by the TellKasi team. Under the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA) we are the "responsible party" for your information.
